格罗宁根大学商学院与“China-Europe Growth Foundation”合作为中国学生提供更多就业机会。

Finding internships and jobs in the Netherlands is not always easy for international Chinese students. For international Chinese students of the University of Groningen the Career office of the Faculty of Economics and Business now works together with the China – Europe Growth Foundation to do just that. The mission of this new foundation is to continuously improve the employability of Chinese students.

The China-Europe Growth Foundation Student Committee Groningen will be available at the GlassHouse, WSN building every Thursday from 10:00 am to 5:00 pm. The first committee members are two Master students; Xin Nui, International Business and Management and Ricky Lin Sheng, Business Administration: Small Business and Entrepreneurship.

Finding Opportunities

Because China’s economic role in the world will continue to increase, the demand for Mandarin speaking students will also grow. Next to the fact that Dutch companies are always on the lookout for talented young people, Dutch companies (intending to be) active in China have an even stronger need for smart and motivated Chinese students since they want to explore the exiting Chinese market. The initiators of the Foundation have an extensive knowledge about the China – European networks in Holland. This could prove to be very helpful to Chinese students looking for opportunities.

Sharpening skills

In addition to helping to indentify job opportunities, the China-Europe Growth Foundation also helps Chinese students sharpen their skills via workshops, training sessions and presentations by experienced Dutch professionals in a wide variety of fields. This will continuously help them to be informed and inspired and to find jobs. Above all, it will make the whole Dutch experience more pleasant and fulfilling.

Membership

Chinese student can become a member for a small yearly fee. This will give them access to jobs posted by the partners of the China-Europe Growth Foundation. These partners are internationally oriented Dutch organisations that are specifically looking for Chinese students. When the Chinese student has entered his/her CV they will also be searchable by these organizations. Furthermore, membership gives access to the activities that will be organized for the benefit of the Chinese students.
